Manufacturer Defect
This type of damage happens in shipping, moving the pallet around the facility, strapping down too tight, honestly a wide variety of ways! There’s no real prevention in this case other than being careful, which, you know, obviously. In the same school of thought however, be very vigilant of the cans before filling. Creases or dents to the can opens the possibility of the inside liner being compromised. Once the inside liner of the can is compromised, it can peel away from the aluminum itself. This is substantially more prevalent when the product inside the can has a lower PH like Kombucha or a kettle sour. Upon opening the can to drink it, an unsightly glob of BPA is floating on top, which is real gross.
Order Of Operations:
Nobody is pointing fingers here, but handling the pallets of brite cans carefully is crucial.
Assess cans before they enter the filler for dents and scrapes.
