Tank Gasket
XP000443
Part # -
The gaskets on the filler tank are a fairly common wear part. Over time, you may notice the material extruding further out from between the main tank and end plate. We expect a lifespan of around 2 million cans for that gasket so keeping an eye on it after 1 million is best practice. If you begin to see product leaking from that area, you can give a quick tighten of the bolts of the end cap, however this only puts a Band-Aid on the broken limb if you will. Once product begins to leak, the gasket needs to be changed. When changing the Gasket, be sure to thoroughly clean area and tighten bolts to 16 ft/lbs. Be sure to tighten them in a star pattern.
Symptoms:
High pitched sound when bowl is pressurized, this is gas escaping the tank.
Product dripping from between bowl and end cap.
Exorbitant DO pickup in the tank.
