Electrical Components

VFD's, PLC's, Servo drives, these aren't props in a Jeff Lucas a Star War, they are real, and they can ruin your day. Understanding how to use error codes to your advantage, as well as incoming and outgoing power makes all the difference.

Symptoms:

  1. Peculiar smell joined with the magic blue smoke

    1. ***Don't huff blue smoke, while being cooler than vaping, it is twice as harmful***

  2. Incoming power and outgoing power wildly different voltages

    1. One leg reading differently

    2. Shorted wires between 2 legs

    3. Unit not grounded properly

  3. Tripped breaker to the unit

    1. Main power breaker

    2. 24v power bus
