Shafts

Shaft was a cool television show, but that's not what we're talking about. We are talking about hardened stainless rods, doing the lord's work to take the muscle of the motor, and turn the conveyor.

Rotating Shaft Symptoms:

  1. Bent shaft causing oblong rotation

    1. usually visible at motor mount

  2. Motor spinning but shaft is not

    1. Check that key-stock is present

    2. Check the sprocket is in good condition



Sliding Shaft Symptoms:

  1. Squealing with movement

  2. Deep grooves in the shaft
