Op roller lubrication
Hi there, I'm looking forward to seeing posts in this forum and sharing information! We've been running our CODI filler for just over a million cans, and I'm looking at preventative maintenance to keep it running for millions more. Per the CODI preventative maintenance guide:
"Op roller lubrication: there are a couple different ways to go about this, using mineral oil, or grade 00 grease at the nipple fittings. Using a thicker grease can impede the spinning of the op rollers. Both processes have their advantages and it is really at the discretion of the operator." What are other people doing? I have not been able to find grade 00 grease at a reasonable price in a reasonable package, but that seems so much easier than taking apart the op rollers.

Any chance you have to not tear down components the better. You will spend much more money on labor than the cost of the lube and a grease gun. I found cartridges here at a reasonable price: https://www.super-lube.com/search?q=41150.
Would be worth double checking with CODI about recommended NGLI grade. The PM doc I have from them says grade 0, which is what I have been using. They don't spin as freely as with mineral oil but it does not impede the rotation. I wonder if they updated their recommendation to grade 00.
